Position Description:

The Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) Senior Analyst will be a key member of the FP&A team by providing forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis to the entire Tecovas Finance function. This includes consolidation, reporting and analysis, along with research and communication of variances and key drivers. Further, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for updating and improving the consolidated Tecovas business model on a day-to-day basis. On a monthly and quarterly basis, the Senior Analyst will complete a wide range of analyses for the Executive team and for the Quarterly Board Meeting. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for managing the forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning processes. This includes creating budgets for various functions across our business, assembling historical financials and variances to budget, forecasting and re-forecasting our three financial statements on a monthly and annual basis
  • Understand the details and drivers behind key P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow lines (sales, gross margin, inventory, OCF, etc.) and generate high-level summaries explaining key variances
  • Work closely with business partners across the business to solicit inputs and analyze results. Identify business drivers for variances, including changes in trends and/or company plans
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial close presentations for our consolidated and retail businesses, including analysis of business performance, inventory trends, and P&L and balance sheet data
  • Maintain and improve the consolidated corporate model by inputting historical financials, updated forecasts, and refined assumptions. This will be a quantitative-heavy role—you must be comfortable working in a model and building new financial model functionality
  • Create ad-hoc analyses as needed, including but not limited to working capital analyses, retail sales attribution, ROI, ROIC, cash conversion, etc

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience (ideal candidates will have experience working in a highly analytical role at a top-tier management consulting firm or investment bank—and/or in a financial operating role within a fast-growing retail or consumer products company)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the thorough accounting knowledge required to build comprehensive financial models
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and PBCS/Hyperion
  • Natural curiosity with a passion for problem-solving using data and analytics
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data and detail without losing sight of the big picture
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments, take initiative, and work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and loves to share findings and actionable insights
  • Collaborative working style and excitement about working with cross-functional teams across the company
  • Passion for direct-to-consumer businesses and a drive to support growth and development of customer-centric organization

This role will report directly to the Director of FP&A, with whom you will work directly on a day-to-day basis, but duties will span cross-functionally and certain projects will support other functional leaders
